Hybrid HVDC systems have been proposed as an alternative for nominal VSC-Based offshore applications. consist of power station composed the connection high-power diode rectifiers in series with a fractional VSC-HVDC. This hybrid configuration allows large transfer from sites, added robustness, simplicity and efficiency uncontrolled rectifiers. In this research, robust fast-acting controller, Two Degrees Freedom Internal Model controller (2DF-IMC), is used to control active filter features fractional-power VSC-HVDC system, resulting much faster overall THD reduction AC currents dynamic conditions (i.e. time-varying wind power) when compared standard controllers. improvement direct consequence fast closed-loop dynamics 2DF-IMC that do not require filtering stages. Additionally, increased response time did affect robustness thanks enhanced disturbance rejection capabilities configuration.
